Section 4: -Begin research on a different AA/AT auto-cannon based off the Japanese Type 90 20mm S1 (Oerlikon 20mm S1 with different designation) with a 32.7 x 170 mm RB cartridge, Oerlikon API Blowback action. ROF should be around 300 RPM for the first prototype. Muzzle velocity should be around 900 m/s (Done) -Begin research on a high velocity 57mm gun (done) -Begin research on a ground strike aircraft powered by two Ha26 900 HP engines, carrying the Type 96 32.7mm autocannon (100 rounds), 2 13.2mm MGs (500 rounds each) and 2 20mm (200 rounds each) autocannons, it should be armored around the nose (front) 12mm, (sides) 4mm, and the engines receive protection of 4mm, as well as glass thick enough to protect the crew from small arms fire. (done) Begin research on the Nakajima Ki-49 (done) -Begin research on the Yokosuka D4Y Suisei Dive bomber 1 turns
Development: -Develop a quadruple mount for the Type 90 13.2mm Machinegun. (done) -Develop from the type-95 Ha-go an amphibious version (Given from what it seems is needed as support for our infantry during an amphibious assault) all-welded hull with rubber seals in place of the riveted armor. Intended to be water-tight. Large, hollow pontoons made from steel plates attached to the front glacis plate and rear decking to give the necessary buoyancy. The front pontoon is to be internally divided into two "symmetrical sections" and each one divided into three separate watertight compartments to minimize the effects of damage from flooding and shellfire. The pontoons are to be attached by a system of "small clips" with a release inside the tank, to be engaged once it lands for ground combat operations. Speeds of 10 km/h in the water are to be expected with a range of 140 km. Propulsion in water will be through two propellers situated at the rear of the hull, powered by the tank's engine. Steering will be in control of the tank commander, who will operate a pair of rudders from the turret through cables. The crew is to include an on-board mechanic.A coaxial Type 97 light machine gun is to be added along with a second Type 97 light machine gun located in the tank's bow (Done) -Develop an AA/Artillery towable carriage for the type 10 120mm AA gun, with the recoil handled by hydro pneumatic mechanisms. (Done) -Develop an uparmored version of the type 89 I-Go. Have the armor increased to 25mm on the front, 16mm on the sides, and 8mm on the back. Call this version Type 89 I-Go-Kai. 1 turns, and speed will be reduced by 3mph (Done) -Develop a version of the Type 94 tankette with a flamethrower mounted as the main weapon instead of the machine-gun. (Done) (Name it Type 94-K) -Develop the Mitsubishi Zuisei engine into the MK2D Zuisei 21 Ha-102 with 1080 HP (done) -Develop the Mitsubishi Kinsei engine into the Ha-62 variant with 1560 HP (done) -Develop the Nakajima Ha-5 engine into the Ha-219 variant with 2541 HP (done) -Develop the Shohatsu landing craft into the Shohatsu-Kai landing craft by expanding it to a length of 15m, a beam of 3.20 meters, a draught of 0.80 meters, equipped with a 60hp engine (same as the original model) with the ability to carry up to 70 men or 10 tons of cargo. (done) -Begin development of a variant of the Chi-ha with the turret removed and in its place a casemate with a 75mm gun. The casemate itself is to be armored enough to protect the crew from small arms fire. (done) -Begin development of a chi-ha variant and call it the Chi-ha kai with an enlarged turret to accomodate a high velocity 47mm gun. (done) -Begin development of a new kind of shell with white phosphorus for clearing out areas of jungle or providing smoke cover. Turn 14 (cancel this, we have this already.) -Develop the Ki-27 into the Ki-27b variant (done) -Develop a flamethrower that can be easily mounted as secondary weapon on armored vehicles by easily replacing either hull or coaxical mounted machineguns. Protests in Iceland As news of the “agreement” signed between Norway-Denmark and U.K. reached the shores of the island, the people across it began protesting and the government of Iceland formally protested this action as well. In the end, the semi-autonomous state declared full independence from both Norway-Denmark and the United Kingdom.
Dutch War Scare Information was evidently leaked from Germany, showing plans to invade the Netherlands in February, with the aim of using Dutch airfields to launch a strategic bombing offensive against Britain. This caused a massive mobilization of members of the Benelux pact with the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg manning the forts and defensive lines built along their border with Germany. When February passed, the number of troops activated passed but many in these nations are wary of Germany, despite German attempts to dispel the lie and the claim that Germany is only interested in peace on the European continent. Also in the UK, anti-German politicians have spoken out against Hitler and Germany and Neville Chamberlain reaffirmed the Treaty of London.
Romanian War Scare In London, rumors of a eminent Soviet attack on Romania had the anti-communists in the government in a fit as well with the leader of the Fascist party of Britain calling for the U.K. to guarantee the independence of the nation's bordering the Soviet Union and for the country to join the Anti-Comintern Pact. While the latter suggestion was primarily ignored, the former did garner support from all groups.
