It is 1921. The Great War is now over. For the Victorious nations, it is a time to rebuild, take stock and plan for the future.
The United Kingdom emerged from the great war as the worlds only super power. With the threat of Germany gone, the Royal Navy now stands unchallenged as the worlds dominate navy. New territories have been acquired and Britain's influence in the world is stronger than ever. For Britain, the future looks bright. However, the country is not without problems. Wartime expenditures have left the country in debt. Wartime losses also caused entire townships to lose their population of young men. Worse still, the United States has emerged from the great war with ambitions to supplant the British as the worlds dominant naval and economic power. Further challenges come from the far east in the form of Imperial Japan. Britain allies in the great war now stand as its most likely rivals. Can Great Britain rise to meet these challenges? Or will it suffer the same fate as empires of old?
For France, the great war has ended in victory. But that victory came at a massive cost of life and resources. The nations manpower pool has been thoroughly drained. Resulting low birth rates will cause significant problems for France in the coming years. But for the moment the war is over and Frances position in the world is secure. With new territories acquired from Germany as well as much of Germanys natural resources being used to cover Frances war debt, France may yet recover from the trauma of the great war. However, France is wrought with internal problems. Political instability and the growing communist party threaten to undermine the 3rd Republic.
The United States emerged from the great war as a leading economic powerhouse with a Navy second only to the Royal Navy itself. Looking to capitalize on this, the United States appears poised to take its place as the worlds leading power. But rising tensions with Britain and Japan may put pay to those thoughts. Further more, the United States has started to become deeply isolationist with much of the population bitter about being dragged into Europe's war. With unprecedented economic growth, the American people and Congress both appear to prefer to bask in the nations prosperity.
Japan's participation in the great war has left it as the most powerful nation in Asia. Rivaled only by the Colonial powers of Europe and the United States. Left with Germany's Pacific Empire, Japan has expanded to become the great colonial power of Asia and is considered a force to be reckoned with. However, Japan is experiencing the growing pains of a young Imperial Power. The country is wrought with internal problems with political assassinations becoming common place. Japan's growing naval power is also causing problems as a quarter of the nations budget is going towards its naval buildup. Political and financial turmoil threaten to undo Japans progress. But with the United States building up its military might, can Japan afford not to?
For Germany, the great war has ended in disaster. The once proud High Seas Fleet sits either at the bottom of Scapa Flow or in the ports of the various allied powers. The nation has been stripped of its over seas empire and its own borders have been completely redrawn. In its current state, Germany is now even counted as a regional power much less the world power it was before the war. War reparations demanded by the allies combined with the seizure of much of Germany's industrial capacity and natural resources have left the country in economic ruin. The nation now must desperately find a way forward even as its wades through economic crisis and political turmoil. Left battered, and despondent, the challenges Germany faces seem insurmountable.
The collapse of Austria Hungary has created a plethora of new nations across Europe. Each of these has the potential to play a deciding role in the future of European politics. Further East, the Russian Empire has collapsed into civil war leaving a war torn country it its wake. But as the war winds down, the Bolsheviks appear poised to seize power.
The Great War has ended. But there is still much to be done. Whether or not each nation can rise to the challenges it faces, are hidden in the darkness of the future. How will you lead your country?

General Information:
- If you have not figured it out yet, the RP starts January of 1921
- Each turn is 3 months. So turn one will be from the start of January to the end of March.
- Everyone will have a week to post turns
- Turns can be posted starting Thursday and you will have until the following Monday. This will give people the weekend to work on their turns. My days off your usually Tuesday or Wednesday so I will do moderation's then
- There will be a 2 year cap on technological researches. You can research things past that but this may result in unforeseen issues.
- The player is not required to keep a detailed budget. But the effects of government spending will be weighed against economic prosperity and potential industrial output. Keep it reasonable. Not even Britain or the US can lay down a dozen battleships all at once.
- All NPC nations will be assumed to act in a manner that is more or less historical unless acted upon by a player nation. Further more, historical events will happen as they did in real life unless players take actions to prevent them. No you cannot stop natural disasters from happening. Unless of course you offer sufficient payment to the moderator.
- All military operations require the use of military formations. If you write an operation and say "I send 100,000 troops to attack position A" then either nothing will happen or I will assume there is no tactical coordination and all troops will be gunned down. Please use tactics in your operations.
- All non military operations require the pre-requisite infrastructure to carry out. For example, you need to create an intelligence organization before you can recruit spies. And you need to recruit spies before you can start spying on other countries.
- All agreements between players must be posted in the turn they are made. This includes treaties, technological exchanges, sales and war declarations. Secret agreements must be PM'ed to the moderator with all parties acknowledging.
Rules:
Alright bitches, you made it this far so lets lay down some ground rules!

4. The moderator reserves the right to summarily execute players for failure to act within the guidelines provided. Such executions will be carried out in the form of alien invasions, sudden natural disasters and plagues of Egypt. This right will only be invoked if the player as sufficiently fucked up or pissed off the moderator to an extent requiring action by the moderator. In the event that that this right is invoked by the moderator, no appeals will be granted upon sentencing.
