Nation: Osean Federation
Government: Totalitarian Democracy The Government of the Osean Federation is a unique form of government called a Totalitarian Democracy. It is a government where the nations leaders are elected by Federation Citizens for life terms or for as long as they choose to remain in office. The government holds absolute power with the Federation Parliament being responsible for governing all aspects of the Osean Federation. Every person in the Federation is guaranteed rights as people. The founding principle being that everyone is created equal and has the inalienable rights to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. However, only a government, ruled by people who put the needs of the many before themselves can be counted on to act in the best interest of the nation as a whole. Which is why only people who are citizens can vote or apply for government office. Citizenship is granted through a term of service to the state, usually military service but can also include various law enforcement and emergency services. Each one of these services, requires each individual to swear an oath to the Osean Federation. To protect the nation and its people, to preserve the rights of the many, even to their dying breath. A person must serve a minimum of two years in the military, or 6 years in an emergency service to be eligible for citizenship. People who are injured while performing their duty honorably and in accordance with their oath, are immediately eligible. The government itself is a Parliamentary system divided into an upper and a lower house. The upper house is primarily made up of high ranking military officials but also includes senior members of Parliament. All members of the upper house are appointed to their position by the Ruling Council. The lower house is made up of members elected to their position by democratic processes. The two houses act as checks and balances against each other. The Ruling council is the governments executive Branch. The Ruling Council consist of leaders of the revolution. There are 12 seats on the council with provisions for the upper house to appoint new members when seats become vacant. The ruling council has the power to introduce motions into the upper house and plays a key role in appointing members to the upper house. However, they do not vote on bills and have no direct authority over the lower house. The Osean Federation is a one party state. Known at the Citizens Party. Other political parties are outlawed. Capital: (Tau Volantis System, Osea, Oured) Inhabited Solar Systems: Tau Volantis: Home of the Osean Federation Capital of Osea, Tau Volantis was one of Earths furthest colonies. It also was at the end leg of one of Earths primary interstellar trade routes. As a result is became heavily industrialized with extensive shipyard facilities for repairing and outfitting merchant vessels. The System possesses two habitable planets along with several other celestial bodies including 2 gas giants, 8 planets and a large asteroid field. Beta Antini: Beta Antini is a solar system controlled by the Osean Federation. It contains one habitable world known as Harvest. Beta Antini also has 9 planets including 1 gas giant and 1 giant planet. The Giant planet also has several large asteroids that appear to be moons that were torn apart by the gravitational pull of the Giant planet and the gas giant. These asteroids appear to be mineral rich which has sparked a series of small mining outpost to be set up on them. Uninhabited Solar Systems: Gamma Garun: Gamma Garun is a system torn apart by gravitational tidal forces. There are several gas giants as well as two giant planets that orbit the star. The gravitational forces of these large bodies have torn apart all of the smaller celestial bodies in the system. Besides the large planets, there are not objects larger than the state of Texas. There are three large asteroid fields. One between the Sun and the 1st planet, another between the 3rd and 4th planets and another between the 5th and 6th planets. The severe gravitational forces at work make navigating the system treacherous at best. However, there are several space stations located on the systems peripheral but none of them ever have more than a few hundred people at any given time. Their singular reason for existence is to provide logistical support for the mining ships that frequent the system. The system is unique for its extremely rich deposits of Tylium. Those miners brave enough to enter the system can make a small fortune in a single trip. However, deep space mining in the system is extremely dangerous. Only the most skilled and experienced ship crews can even acquire a license to mine the system. Alpha Ceti: An unremarkable system. It has no naturally habitable planets. There is a small moon orbiting one of the gas giants that has a thin atmosphere and is barely habitable. This moon has several small outpost, mainly research stations as well as prospecting sites. One of the gas giants in the system has an old FGS space station in orbit which served as an armory. It is now under Osean administration and is used as a fleet forward supply base. Inhabited Planetoids: Tau Volantis System:Osea: The Capital planet of the Osean Federation, Osea is a near earth like planet with three main continents and two smaller ones. It has varied temperatures and climates similar to Earth. The City of Oured is home to the Osean Federation Parliament and is located on the South western shores of the planets second largest continent. Oseas largest industrial sector is its mining. Osea serves as the corporate center for several of the largest mining firms within the Osean Federation. The planet itself is also a resource rich planet which is the main reason it was originally colonized by Earth. It has large deposits of Titanium ore as well as other valuable metals such as iron, copper, nickle and even gold. Farbanti: Farbanti is the 3rd planet in the Tau Volantis system. It was originally uninhabitable but was terraformed to thicken the atmosphere and jump start the planets natural water and plant cycles. It was one of the first planets after Mars to be terraformed. It has since grown to be an industrial powerhouse. The planet is home to several large orbital shipyard facilities that maintained and refitted Earth Cargo ships ferrying resources back to Earth along the trade routes. Earth also maintained a small squadron in the system along with accompanying fleet shipyard facilities that have been captured and put into use by the Osean Federation. While the Osean Military command has its head quarters on Osea, the 1st Lord of the Admiralty along with the Fleet Grand Admiral maintain their offices on Farbanti. Aegis VII: A small moon orbiting one of the systems gas giants. The moon itself was partially terraformed creating a thicker atmosphere. However, the air contains high levels of poisonous gases. As a result, most of the planets inhabitants live inside habitat units. The moons primary value is in its mineral content. Cobalt, silicon, osmium are all found in high concentrations making it a proverbial gold mine. The moons mining industry has turned it into a popular stop off point for merchant freighters before leaving the system. Beta Antini: Harvest: Appropriately named, Harvest is an agricultural planet. The largest continent lies roughly 30 degrees above the planet equator in a temperate zone with extremely fertile soil making it excellent for farming. The rest of the planet is primarily ocean and has developed an extensive fishing industry and aqua culture. What non agricultural industry it does exist is concentrated around the planet largest city, Farbanti. Farbanti is the planets largest hub for the intercontinental maglev train system. It is also home to the planets only orbital elevator and shipyard. The planets vast ocean also makes it extremely suited for producing Deuterium for nuclear fusion reactors. Anvil Gate: Harvest has one large moon orbiting it. This moon is has several cities that were built on it. These early settlements were established as prospectors sites. However, the moon proved to not hold any vast quantities of resources. However, it did grow into a popular tourist attraction. People vacationing on harvest would often visit the moon colonies. The moon has facilities specifically designed with no artificial gravity. Entire hotel rooms, restaurants and even sports Arena's are devoted to zero gravity activities. Anvil Gate is home to an amateur league for Zero G Rugby. Its popularity as a tourist attraction has allowed the humble settlement to grow into a thriving center of commerce. Inhabited Astrological Objects:
Polis Massa: Built within a large asteroid in the Tau Volantis asteroid belt, Polis Massa is a mining colony and emergency base for mining ships in the area. Polis Massa originally started out as a research base to study the early history of the system and its origins. Prospectors found the asteroid to be rich in precious minerals and an attempt to mine the asteroid was set up. However, the surface was constantly bombarded with small asteroids making surface habitation difficult. As a result, a base was built within one of the asteroids cavernous craters where it was relatively safe. From there a mining outpost slowly developed. As more material was extracted, the base grew larger. As a result of this excavation and expansion, a small city has developed within the asteroids interior complete with schools, recreational facilities, community meeting halls, and even a small park filled with trees and plants. The asteroids location makes is an excellent point of supply for mining ships prospecting in the Tau Volantis asteroid belt. Its population is just over 100,000 people. Anchor Point Station: Located in orbit around one of the Gas Giants in the Beta Antini system, Anchor Point was once a major center of commerce. It served as a way station for ships entering and leaving the system as they made their supply runs between the farming colony of Harvest and the rest of the FSG. But with the independence of the Osean Federation the station has underwent a large decline in shipping traffic. The result has been an economic downturn on board the station. Out of work, many resident have left the station for nearby Harvest while others have for other settlements within the Osean Federation. The remaining population, numbering only 200,000 people is only 1/5 of the stations original population. However, the Osean government has recently become interested in the station as a potentially important site for further exploration and expansion into the unknown regions. Important People: Brian Ramsey: Senior member of the Ruling Council, he was one of the main leaders of the revolution. He lead militia forces in several engagements against FSG military and police forces attempting to quell the uprising. He was wounded twice but continued to lead his forces only accepting medical care after collapsing. He later went on to help form the basis for the Federation government and is considered one of its founding members. John Barnes: Senior member of the ruling council, he assumed a major leadership role in the insurrection on Farbanti and was one of the people who helped secure the orbital shipyards from FSG control. Alfred Kruger: A member of the ruling council and a career politician, he served with the FSG administration on Osea. He was an outspoken proponent of Osean Independence. After the FSG responded to the independence movement with violence he resigned from his position and enlisted with the local militia. Unlike other members who were prominent leaders in the revolution, Kruger served as a simple soldier and was cited three times for valor and courage under fire. His political career and outstanding service with the Osean Militia led to him becoming a member of the ruling council. Alun Fischer: 1st Lord of the Admiralty, he directly administers the Osean Navy and serves as an adviser to the Osean Parliament. Grand Admiral David McCullen: The highest ranked officer in the Osean Navy, he serves as the overall commander of all naval forces and a direct adviser to the 1st Lord of the Admiralty. His office is responsible for coordinating all fleet activity. He was born on Harvest and joined the FSG Navy at the age of 18. He attended OCS and recieved a commission as an ensign. He served with distinction an eventually retired a Vice Admiral. He settled back on Farbanti where he became a civilian contractor as FSG Fleet yards. He supported the revolution and came out of retirement to lead the Osean Federations fledgling Naval forces against the FSG. Using a small fleet of captured FSG warships and merchant vessels pressed into military service. He staged a successful guerrilla fight against the FSG fleet. While he was never able to achieve a decisive victory against the FSG naval forces, his bold raids on FSG controlled areas was a continued inspiration for the rest of the revolution and his forces became a symbol of defiance. He was originally asked to take a seat on the ruling council but preferred to re-enter retirement. However, when he was asked to take the post as commander of the new Osean Navy, his sense of duty prevented him from refusing the appointment. Marshal Bethany Groves: Commandant of the Osean Marine Corp, she served under Brian Ramsey during the revolution. She is a career Marine having served as a senior Officer in the FSG Marines. Born on Osea, she was stationed with the Earth Home Fleet for much of her career. By the time of the revolution on Osea she had achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She was offered a promotion to Brigadier General and command of the Expeditionary Force that was to be sent against the uprising on Osea. However, she opted for early retirement and returned to Osea to join the insurrection. Her service to the revolution and extensive military experience earned her the post as Commandant of the Osean Marine Corp. In that capacity she works closely with the naval department and has developed a strong working relationship with Grand Admiral McCullen. Grand General Erwin Heidrich: Originally the commander of the Harvest Militia under FSG administration, Heidrich was primarily responsible for organizing the planet wide revolt which drove the FSG off the planet. His militia forces served as the basis for the many resistance groups which would form and expand around the planet. For the Federation, the revolution began on Osea but Harvest was the first planet to successfully achieve independance. With the main FSG effort focused on its major bases in the Tau Volantis system, Heidrich was able to launch a massive coordinated campaign against the remaining FSG defense forces on harvest. Population: 10 Billion (or whatever the limit it) Most of the Osean Federations population resides on the planet Osea. Osea has a population of 4.5 billion people. Farbanti is a close second with 4 billion people. Harvest has the third largest population with roughly 1.5 billion people. Description/History:
The history of the colonies that make up the Osean Federation actually dates back over a hundred years to their founding. However, the Osean Federation itself is only about 3 years old. Originally starting out as a series of peaceful protest against an increasingly ineffective administration by the FSG, things escalated to violence when a crowed of protesters were fired on by Earth peace keeping units. While Earth records that the first shots were fired by protesters armed with small arms, the Osean Federation historical archives has a number of eye witnesses reporting that the Earth forces opened fire without warning. More than a dozen protesters were killed and many more wounded. This incident electrified the population. Many formerly peaceful protest escalated into full blown riots. Earths attempts to quell the violence resulted in more casualties on both sides. Within a year, the riots had further escalated into open revolt. Those who had previously advocated for independence now helped organize the loose collection or revolts into an organized rebellion. Those who had previously supported the FSG policies now found themselves questioning Earths motives. The spark of rebellion lit a fire across the Osean Sector of space with the entire Tau Volantis and Beta Antini systems joining in an alliance against the FSG forces. Earth responded by deploying several battle groups to the sector and landed forces on the planets in an attempt to regain control. However, the rebellions that Earth was facing across the known region of space caused the Battle groups to be cut off from their lines of supply. With their position tenuous at best, the FSG forces retreated back to earth leaving the revolutionaries victorious. The year long campaign left much destruction but with their new found independence, the people of Osea set about forming a new government and rebuilding. Now, three years after gaining their independence, the Osean Federation stands ready to take it first steps into the unknown Galaxy. Culture: Most of the Osean Federations people can trace their ancestry to North West/Central Europe. A large part of the population is of Anglo-Germanic decent but there is also a large minority of people from Scandinavia, mostly Sweden and Norway. Demographically roughly 30% of the population can trace its ancestry to the British Isles. 25% can trace their ancestry to Germany. Another 15% are more Sweden and 10% from Norway. The remaining 20% are from the USA. However, those from the USA primarily hail from the Midwestern USA and most are of Irish, Swedish or German decent. English is the Osean Federations primary language. The intermingling of German and Scandinavian languages has lead to some interesting accents when speaking English in various parts of the Federation. Most of the Federations population is religious. Christianity is the largest religion with Judaism having a much smaller but still significant precense. Islam while not explicitly banned is nearly non existent within the Federation. Atheism while not common is also not unheard of. The Federation as a nation has strict policies regarding religious freedoms. People are free to practice their own personal beliefs provided those beliefs are not determined to be a physical threat to the well being of others. Much of the Osean Federations architecture is modern in design. However, there are a few area on the planet that reflect the European traditions they come from. The government district of Oured features many Roman influenced buildings including the Parliament building. Military: The Osean Federation Defense Force is divided into three distinct branches. The Osean Navy, Marine Corp and Army. The Navy and Marine Corp represent are the Federations primary offensive assets with the Marines taking on a role similar to the one performed by the United States Marine Corp. The Osean Army is primarily a defensive organization. They have assets required to perform planetary offensive operations but lack expeditionary capability. Osean Navy: 5 Earth Type Medium Warships 15 Earth Type Light Warships 150 Earth Type Fighters 5 Earth Type Cargo Ships 5 Earth Type Colony Ships (Converted into troop transports) 3 Earth Type Tylium Fuel carriers 2 Earth Type Tylium Refining ships 3 Earth Type Tylium mining ships 6 Earth Type Science vessels Osean Marine Corp: 25,000 Personnel 150 Main Battle Tanks 150 Light Reconnaissance vehicles 150 Infantry Fighting Vehicles 150 Armored Personnel Carriers 300 Self Propelled Guns 150 Cargo Trucks Osean Army: 35,000 personnel 200 Main Battle Tanks 100 Light Reconnaissance vehicles 200 Infantry Fighting Vehicles 300 Self Propelled Guns 150 Cargo Trucks Non Military: 30 Cargo Vessels 15 mining vessels 5 Civilian Research vessels Location:

It has a senate, a Chancellor position and a series of high courts Capital: Home system (Kepler-22 system), Sarnoth (Kepler-22b), Thi’ Cent Inhabited Solar Systems: Home system (Kepler-22) Sin system (Kepler 23) Uninhabited Solar Systems: Mon system (Kepler-16) Inhabited Planetoids: Sarnoth (Kepler 22b) It is covered in water that is primarily fresh with massive amounts of sealife and universal wonders know as "floating islands". The surface of the planet has many floating islands, with the larger ones having small farms and resorts on them. There even is contene The shallows of the planet house extravagant cities and even some being above water due to their size. The mid sea levels house the food production areas with fisheries and understand farms being the main food producers. Plants providing lubricant and rubber are also grown. The dark zone houses the major mines of the planet. This is where things become dangerous due to the wildlife becoming larger and more aggressive. Workers and the mines they work at need mining equipment that'suseful for the job at hand and can defend against mid to leviathan class creatures. The fact they're effective against them has modified models adopted into the military. The midnight district is the most dangerous part of the planet but also houses the planet's greatest wonders. A inactive lava zone know as the Obsidian flows, a deep trench that runs for hundreds of kilometers know as the Lose river, a graveyard for the large creatures of the planet's past and possible future. The industrial district provides the buildings, orbital factories and other major products to the planet's a population. They're powered by the active lava zones around the planet and are protected by the military itself. It's said that there's a research complex within the largest zone but this is unknown. Sinoura (Kepler 23b) with 5 major colonial cities, 1 ship yard ring partially constructed around the planet (1/3 completed) and numerous farms, smaller colonies and mines not counted by the government yet. Inhabited Astronomical Objects: 3 commercially owned and 2 government owned mining stations over Kepler 23c, 2 trade and rec stations over 23c as well, 1 commercially owned, the other owned by the government , multiple asteroid mining stations around the Republic's territory Important People: (heads of state, heads of military/non military organizations etc) Skar K'Limdai- head general of the planet's sea/land forces, fought during the civil war on the side of the Jin'Sorai. He has extensive experience in guerrilla and in undersea/land combat. While not being a tactical or strategic genius, he was able to continue a strong fight thru out the war via keeping his men moral up, successful diplomacy to the other clans for supplies and while not a master general, he was good enough and always learn to adapt to each situation he for himself in. Sel Kai- the daughter of the head of the Jin'Sorai militia forces. She was finishing schooling off planet and was returning when the war broke out. She was supportive of her mother and the Jin'Sorai fighters until they began pushing into Sar'Teri lands and began committing war crimes against the local population. She was great influence in the other clans dropping their political and material support of the Jin'Sorai militia. She also helped orchestrate the peace talks between the clans. She currently is a scientist in the government's science division. Population: 8 billion with 5 million living off world on space stations and mining colonies and stations Description/History: The history of humans on Sarnoth is extensive and dates back to the earliest of colonization efforts. Sadly since it was so long ago, the unity the all held slow frayed and died until a 3 year war began between the majority of the Jin’Sorai clan and the Sar’Teri clan. The other clans moved to stand out of the conflict, providing sanctuary to refugees of both clans. The war ended when the heads of each were forced to leave the planet by intervention from the other clans and the a group wanting peace made up of members from both clans. The leaders of the Jin’Sorai fraction were forced off world due to their refusal to agree to peace and with them went a portion of the planet’s army, navy, and tech. The Sar’Teri were tasked with rebuilding the damaged lands of the Jin’Sorai and those who ordered the starting attack are serving out sentences offworld on military controlled mining colonies. To avoid another incident like this from occurring again, a more centralized government was formed with full control of the military (aside from state militias), high court, a senate with representatives from every province and a high court (which carried over from the previous government) . This government is now in it’s fifth year and the war reconstruction is close to completion, but the memories and psychological effects from the war will remain and influence the Sarnothi for some time. Culture: The colonies on Kepler-22b or Sarnoth are old and their culture reflects that. They felt no real loyalty to the FSG, only providing taxes and other payments due to an urge to keep the status quo. The people are loyal to their clan and due to the civil war, aren't keen on conflict but will fight to protect themselves and other citizens of the nation. They also support an expansion and colonization of territory to avoid another incident like the Jin'Suir massacre for happening again. Military: Sarnothi Army 20,000 troopers 2,500 D3 automatons 60 SN5 assault tanks 40 SN12 Twin propulsion tanks 20 SN15 mobile heavy cannons 70 SN LAF/submersibles 20 SN LAATs/ submersibles 100 JS Dual purpose heavy guns 30 medium AOE gun Sarnothi Navy 60 interceptors 40 FTL capable fighters 35 bombers 120 automated fighters/drones 3 SN80 series cruisers 6 SN40 light cruisers 8 SN30 series frigates 2 Planetary defense stations Non-warships 8 large supply ships 5 troop transports 10 refueling ships 3 automaton control ships 4 automaton drop ships Non-Military: 10 bulk transports 30 medium transports 80 light freighters 3 luxury liners 5 space exploration star ships 50 mining craft 200 privately owned spacecraft Location on Map: North of Sol in the Cygnus (Swan) constellation

Population: 8 billion with 5 million living off world on space stations and mining colonies and stations
Description/History:
First contact between humanity and Sarnothians ended in the death of a Sar’Teri. This caused a rift between the level headed Sar’Teri and brash and in-raged Jin’Sorai, with the former wanting an apology and reparations to the deceased's family while the Jin’Sorai wanted war and blood. This rift continue to grow and the escalating tension was shatter with a preemptive strike on the Sar’Teri heartland Jin’Suir in an effort to keep a devastating war between the humanity and Sarnoth from starting. This resulted in a 3 year war between the majority of the Jin’Sorai clan and the Sar’Teri clan. The other clans moved to stand out of the conflict, providing sanctuary to refugees of both clans. The war ended when the heads of each were forced to leave the planet by intervention from the other clans and the a group wanting peace made up of members from both clans. The leaders of the Jin’Sorai fraction were forced off world due to their refusal to agree to piece and with them went a portion of the planet’s army, navy, and tech.

Nation Name: Free Stellar Imperium
Government: Elective Monarchy
After witnessing the the weaknesses inherent within democracy, the People who broke away from the FSG have decided unanimously to have a king with absolute power. Therefore there is a council of sixteen "Nobles", each a leader of the Great Revolt, another council of thirty two prominent commoners, and a third council consisting of the two leaders of the armed forces. They will vote amongst themselves and other notable people within the Imperium on the current Emperor's death after a period of mourning and a festival in their honor. After a new Emperor is elected, they are to be coronated and taken the the palace at the center of the capital under heavy escort. All of the population are required to undergo 4 months of training as to be skilled reservists. Instead of the 4 month of ground training, one can sign up to the National Fleet Academy. An immigrant may serve in the national armed forces for a minimum of 4 years to be granted citizenship, otherwise one must be a loyal resident for 12 years to be granted citizenship.
Capital: Hyadum, Hypure, Gracemeria
Inhabited Solar Systems: Hyadum: A system dominated by a Red Ain Sequence Star. It's habitable zone occupied by two continental, Terran planets. An asteroid belt separates the planets from a small planet made of ice, a gas giant, and a second asteroid belt, before a giant planet made in ice dominantes the outer orbit.
Diltak: A system with a star very similar to the Sun itself, 6 planets orbit the star with 2 in the habitat zone, a fiery volcanic planet with a small moon in close orbit, and a desert planet with 2 small moons in orbit. 1 terrestrial planets lie outside the habitable zone and are barren and frozen. 3 gas giants dominate the outer areas of the system, with the farthest one having a barren frozen moon. And the other containing an oceanic moon, using heat that radiates off the gas giant to keep it temperate as the gas giant is unusually large and attracts many comets.
Uninhabited Solar Systems: Gigantismo: A system with a large red giant dominates the center of the system, 4 huge gas giants surround the star in its upper orbits. A research station inhabiting 60,000 rests in a polar orbit around the star and served as an early warning and relay station back during the revolution against the FSG
Aquari: A system with a yellow star at its center, 3 Oceanic worlds orbit the star in the habitable zone though they have not been colonized as studies are ongoing about the atmosphere composition and wether it's safe for humans to live on the surface without habitation domes. 2 Gas Giants dominate the outer rim followed by a binary dwarf planet system at the edge of the Sun's Sphere of Influence. A Tylium mining station is in orbit within the rings of one of the gas giants, affording it some natural defenses
Centarialist: A white dwarf star at its center, the Centarialist system has multiple rings of asteroid belts orbiting the star, with a single barren planet rest in between the two largest asteroid belts. A mining outpost rests on planets surface with functions as a listening post.
Inhabited Planetoids: Hyadum System:
Hypure - The capital of the Stellar Admiralty, Hypure is an Earth sized planet with the same characteristics as the human homeworld, making it desirable as a population center as it fits humans needs extremely well. 34% of the planets surface is dry landmass, allowing more space for development and less of a risk of overcrowding. The capital is located on the equator as a massive surface based dry dock and launch platform exists as the planet was once a massive Fleet Base for the FSG.
Yalterrian - The second planet in the Hyadum system is a continental world around 1.4 times the size of Earth, though with only 1.1 times the gravity. 28% of the planets surface is landmass and the planet is heavily industrialized, being able to supply manufactured goods to the Admiralty along with surplus.
Diltak: Odyssey - The regional capital of the Diltak system, Odyssey is a large moon orbiting an unusually large gas giant, as such comets streak pass the planet every few years as the giant keeps them from hitting the planet with its gravitational pull. It's land mass take up only 8% of the surface, as such the main infrastructure is large cities built into the seabed below. The planet is heavily agrarian, providing and storing most of the food for the Admiralty under the surface of the ocean, deep within subsurface caves.
Inhabited Astrological Objects: Hyadum: Hypure 1 Space Station - A medium sized orbital space station in a polar orbit a boh è Hypure. It is the main space hub of the Admiralty and contains the main body of the Fleet Academy. It handles most of the shipping and commerce that takes place, as well as housing the Main Fleet and shipyards. A large hanger bay is used as the main defense of the planet and Station.
Yalterrian Space Station - A small space station geared more towards exporting massive amounts of bulk good, it provides a small amount of atmospheric fighters for defense of the planet and Station.
Diltak: Odyssey Space Station - A small Space Station will capacity for constructing small space craft. A small fighter bay provides defense for the planet below and the Station.
Giantismo: Gigant Orbital Station - a massive research station carrying 60,000 personnel. It carries no defenses as it is a mere research system.
Aquari: Aquari Central Tylium Refinery - A large and efficient Tylium refinery to service the needs of the Fleet and Civilian Merchant Marine.
Centarialist: Centarialist I mining outpost - A shielded mining outpost stationed on the barren planet to collect the valuable minerals from the asteroid that frequently impact the planets surface. A tiny hangar is kept in the station holding a small squadron of fighters to protect the station from asteroid destined to hit the station that the shields can't stop.
Important People: Grand Admiral William Halsey XI: William Halsey XI is a long past descendent of William "Bull" Halsey of World War Two fame. He started out as a lowly gunnery officer onboard an FSG frigate, but quickly worked his way up to a Rear Admiral. After being ordered from the governing body of the FSG itself to bombard a rioting planet into submission, he took his naval squadron and defected. Proceeding to lead a daring raid on the planet of Hypure as the opening act, managing to capture the planet and its Facilities. Through the war he led the fledgling Monarchy to victory in many Fleet engagements, though his most widely known victory is when he used the anvil tactics of his ancestor to trap an FSG Flotilla in a dense asteroid belt. After the war he was appointed the new Grand Admiral of the
Field Marshal Fredrick Jan Sobieski: Sobieski was a civilian on the planet of Hypure before the war, joining with Halsey and his invasion force after they captured the planet, he led a division of troops on Yalterrian, using them in unconventional warfare to keep the FSG on their toes. He is widely known for getting the massive rural areas of the planet to defect to the Revolt through diplomacy and promises of prosperity and an end to tyranny, a promise he's pulled many strings to keep after the end of the war, where he was given the rank of Field Marshal, now in command on the army.
Bryan Zizka: A political figure, he organized the revolt into an effective fighting force and provided them with supplies and equipment using his vast influence in the sector. He was awarded the rank of Admiral for his efforts in helping the logistical War succede.
Emperor Maximillian Hernandez: The face of the revolt, the Emperor was well studied in combat from prior centuries, all the way back to the 1800's as only those documents he could get his hands on. When he saw the injustices the FSG was conducting against the people of the colonies, he urged for protest, when protest wouldn't work and they were quelled with violence. He led a full scale revolt, being assisted by the future Grand Admiral William Halsey XI and captured the planet, he refused to lead from the rear as many advised him to do so, this earned him popularity with the armed forces fighting on his behalf and the people he was fighting to protect. At the end of the war and capitulation of the FSG. The people and armed forces alike were shouting his name to become their lifelong ruler. He begrudgingly accepted and became the First Emperor of the Free Stellar Imperium.
Population: Hyadum System: 7.3 billion Hypure: 4.3 billion Yalterrian: 3 billion
Diltak System: Odyssey: 1.2 billion
Description/History: The Free Stellar Imperium has existed for a mere two years. The planets it governs were relatively untouched by the FSG even after their 200 year reign over the planets. The FSG has a record of injustices and corruption, but it was especially brutal in the planets that now make up the Free Stellar Imperium. Executing prisoners to make an example of them, letting colonial governors establish a form of Caste System upon the citizens. And repeatedly razing areas the FSG deems "undesirable." It was through the outrage these actions caused that the Imperium was formed. After a bloody three year long war the Imperium earned its Freedom and now eagerly awaits to take their first steps into unknown.
Culture: The population of the Free Stellar Imperium has distinct cultures, with 20% being able to graze their ancestry back to Poland, with 30% able to trace back to the Caribbean islands. 22% can trace their ancestry to the Philippines, 12% can trace it back to Mediterranean Cultures and 16% can trace it back to the Dixie lands of the USA.
The population of the Imperium is a majority Catholic, with at least 88% saying they are either devout or not practicing Catholics, 4% says they follow different denominations of Christianity, 6% don't have a specific belief and the remaining 2% firmly have no belief.
Military: 5 Earth Type Medium Warships 15 Earth Type Light Warships 150 Earth Type Fighters 3 Earth Type Troop Transports 2 Earth Type Cargo Ships 35,000 troops 130 Earth Type MBT's 192 Earth Type Field Guns 240 Earth Type Howitzers 160 Earth Type APC's 65 Earth Type Bombers 2 Earth Type Fuel Carriers

There are 5 main continents are 2 smaller ones, it is dotted with cities and a few megacities, most notably High Plutonia. Orlan: Vadia’s moon is home to several cities and mining operations. It is arid, but the people there are able to get by. Kelexius: Kalexius is a tropical world with large oceans and jungles. It too is considerably populated, and by fighting the savage beasts native to the planet the planet’s defense forces have considerably hardended themselves. Eriadu: Mustafar, Hragar, Maroscus Mustafar: Mustafar is a harsh planet with a large number of volcanos and deep caves. This makes it a mineral goldmine, and it is home to many different mining operations. It has an orbital asteroid field which is also mined and it hosts Romanii station. Hragar: Hragar is an earthlike planet that is home to several cities and other infrastructure. It has a multitude of farms, exporting food throughout the fledgeling Empire. Maroscus: Maroscus is another earthlike planet that hosts 2 large cities and several smaller ones, with a rapidly increasing population Inhabited Astrological Objects: (List by name what inhabited astrological objects(Space stations/asteroids/asteroid belts that have a populace of 100k or more) your nation governs(MAX 1-2 in an inhabited system) Vadia: Jobak, Gellion Joback: Joback is a station near the edge of the system that was originally for defense against the FSG, but has since fallen out of practice. Gellion: Gellion is a station in orbit of Vadia home to the main base and staging area for the Imperial Navy. It also hosts a branch of the Imperial Naval Academy. Eriadu: Romanii, Hecklar, Romanii: Romanii is the collective name given to the orbital shipyards and stations around mustafar. The planet’s asteroids are mined and used by the shipyards for resources. Hecklar: Hecklar is a large gas refinery orbiting Laon, a gas giant in the Eriadu system. Important People: Emperor Vadius I Grand Admiral Thraxes Gellion: Thraxes was a close friend of Vadius and when news of the FSG’s betrayal of Vadius was announced, he realized how far the FSG had fallen and defected. He was given a commanding position within the Imperial Navy and his great tactical mind was put to use teaching at the Imperial Naval Officer’s Academy on the station that bears his name. Grand Marshal Raesh Golores: Raesh was the commander of the Marine contingent on Vadius’ flagship, and de facto his fleet, when the mutiny occured. Raesh, for his loyalty and great skill, was given command of the Imperial Army and Marine Corps. After two years, he handed over command of the latter to a trusted subordinate. Population: 9.5 billion Description/History: Rear Admiral Decius Vadius of the Federation’s Galactic Navy was an an accomplished Federation Navy commander, extremely popular with the men under his command and the people back home, who were drawn to him by his many victories in the name of the Federation. One day, shortly after the rebellions began, his fleet was dispatched to escort colony ships to a habitable system that had been discovered and deal with a small pirate band. What they found was not a token force, but the headquarters of a large pirate coalition, and one that had been alerted beforehand to the fleet’s coming. A fierce battle ensued and, despite being outnumbered, Decius’ fleet destroyed the pirates, with heavy casualties taken. The pirates that escaped summoned more of their kind who had been away from the system during the initial attack, and launched several follow up attacks, harassing the battered fleet. A distress signal was sent to Earth, but it took an unusually long amount of time to make it to central command. After two weeks with no ships from Earth coming to bring fuel or aid to the beleaguered fleet, Decius took matters into his own hands. He called his officers together and told them the Federation had abandoned them, and that the government on Earth had grown too corrupt and fragile to be allowed to perpetuate. The various commodores and captains agreed, and they decided to defect and form their own nation in an attempt to join up with Rebel forces. They escorted the colony ships planetside, where the pirates on the planet agreed to submit to him. Then, Decius declared himself Emperor Vadius I of the Vadian Empire, and the planets that he had been sent to colonize sovereign Vadian territory.
The original intent was to remass forces loyal to Vadius in the Vadia system, and then invade Earth in an attempt to establish Vadius as head of a new government. However, rebel forces they contacted either refused to join or didn’t receive the message. From there, Vadius focused on two things. Developing his empire, and preparing to fight off the federation onslaught that was surely coming to retake the valuable planets. In the former goal, he was helped by millions of Federation citizens, including many of his family and friends, who defected to the Empire and fled, either through the few passenger ships the Federation allowed to head out to Vadian space, or by smugglers. Industry boomed and the economy grew in strength. 5 years later, Vadia has formidable industrial might and is economically stable. To the latter goal, the Idax line was constructed, a series of defenses in the border systems.
Culture: Vadian culture is centered around loyalty to the state, seeing rights and liberties as rewards for that loyalty. The events of the Battle of Centurion are fresh in everyone’s minds, and it is said that to be loyal is to remain free from outside threats. Military: 38,000 Infantry 5,000 Power armor troops (Every player can start with a maximum defense force of 60,000 soldiers(Can range from normal infantry, robots, power armor soldiers, but the better they are, you must ratio how many that would equal normal infantry), 2,000 Vehicles(Tanks, Artillery, etc.) 550 main battle tanks 500 infantry fighting vehicles 250 artillery pieces 100 self propelled guns 250 armored personnel carriers 300 logistics vehicles 120 Viper MkII Model Fighter 35 Aargon MKIII Bomber 5 Aargon Class Medium Warships (Renamed Exeter Class) 15 Scorpio Class Light Warships (Renamed Porter class) 10 Mordani class refueling ships 10 Tycho class supply ships 5 eplison class hospital ships 5 Theta class troop carriers Non-Military: (Spacecraft, units, and vehicles that serve a purpose that isn't for warfare, for example, an exploration corps, or merchant marine force. 50 Non-warship vessels maximum, 500 Vehicle Maximum) 10 Galaxy class scientific cruisers 5 Forge class construction ships 10 resource harvesting ships (the construction ships can also build mining platfomrs) 10 state owned freighters 5 converted escort merchantmen Location on Map: East southeast, a good distance from Earth.

Nation Name: The Ecumene Government: The government of the Ecumene is a totalitarian republic. Members of the council are elected by the people for a life long position, with the three heads of the council being appointed by council members to serve for live. The 500 Council members are heads of different political parties, castes, and such and control the general affairs of the nation. The 3 heads of council themselves hold higher power and if desire could overturn any council decisions on a whim. As such a strong trust is held between the council and leaders to not betray the others.
Capital: The Savolax system, Maethrillian
Inhabited Solar Systems: The Savolax system: The Savolax System was formerly a colony supply/resource manufacturing station so it had been quite heavily industrialized. It in fact was at one point so important that it sent resources and machinery to systems such as Tau Volantis and other far reaching colonial systems. It contains 3 habitable planets, 3 gas giants, and 2 smaller rocky planets.
Pravitel' vostoka: The system is mostly unremarkable with similarities to the Savolax system, containing 4 habitable planets, 2 gas giants, and 5 rocky planets.
Uninhabited Solar Systems: Zemlya gigantov: The system is quite important to the Ecumene as it holds vast supplies of Tylium and is mostly made of gas giant planets otherwise which still hold vast resources. the dangers however consist of all the asteroid belts which make it hard to get to any of the resources.
Inhabited Planetoids: The Savolax System: Ghibalb
Ghibalb was one of the first planets colonized and as such is the most industrialized, its main industrial specialties is production and resource refinery. The planet itself teems with life and is split into four continents, one frozen one at the South pole, a large continent in the northern hemisphere and the final continent running along part of the equator and both hemispheres. The southern continent is largely unexplored whilst the jungles of the eastern continent remain entirely unmapped except for the borders.
Threshold
Threshold is a planet that holds one large super continent with big islands spread across the ocean. the Planet itself is full of resources but most ventures beyond the super continent itself are rare and not well documented, thus most of the planet is in fact still considered wild and uncolonized.
Pravitel' vostoka: Onyx
Onyx is a planet quite similar to Ghibalb except that its climate is much cooler, giving it a generally tundra like climate except for near the equator where more moderate and warm climates teem. the planet itself is not that populated or explored yet but colonization efforts are being made.
Edom
Edom is a planet consisting mostly of water with small continents and larger islands spread across it. the planet itself is actually quite populated due to the climate being nice and oceans full of natural resources to use.
Draetheus V
Draetheus V is a planet very similar to ancient Egypt in geography. it is mostly desert with a large ocean and massive rivers that cut through the continents, with a few even gaining large forested area's. the planet has not been too explored as natural resources arent that abundant but people still move there due to the beautiful weather.
Inhabited Astrological Objects: The Savolax System: Maethrillian
Maethrillian is the capital of the Ecumene, and also a massive space station, housing 1.2 million people. the structure was originally built as a research facility but soon populations increased and more people started to move to the station and eventually turning it into the center of the rebellion in the sector from the FSG. The station has been built in a way where there is a massive central rod(power sources and transportation across the capital) with massive circular discs forming "cities" within them, each increasing in size till the top which is measured at around 100,000 km across. Maethrillian also holds a massive council amphitheater in a dome above the biggest disk where matters are discussed on government choices. Not only is it so massive but the structure itself has an entire defense network comprising of the most modern technology being developed, being as up to date as possible.
Pravitel' vostoka: None
Important People: The Iso Didact
The Iso Didact is the leader of the warrior caste and one of the main three speakers in the Ecumene council. Each Iso Didact is appointed by the council for a life term, and when their life comes to its end they will choose somebody that will take over their post, and if the council agrees that person shall take over.
The Librarian
The Librarian is the leader of the lifeworker caste and another one of the three primary speakers in the council, appointing runs the same way was it does for the Iso Didact. The Librarian and lifeworker caste are in charge of the well being of the people and discovering new scientific advances.
The Faber
The Faber(also known as the master builder) is the head of the builder caste, appointing is the same as the other two head positions. the Faber and builder caste are in charge of the construction of new buildings, factories, military arms and ships, and overall building things for the Ecumene.
Ecumene council:
The council is the main part of the Ecumene government and is made up of 500 people, not including the three stated above who hold the most powerful positions in the council. The council itself represents every caste in the Ecumene.
Population: Total population: 9.3 billion(or less if the limit has been reached) The population of the Ecumene is almost entirely held within its two inhabited systems with the Savolax system holding 5 billion people and Pravitel' vostoka holding nearly 4 billion. The three lesser populated systems add up to a mere 120,000 people.
Description/History: The Ecumene started off as colonists being sent to resource rich areas in their now controlled systems. Colonists discovered vast amounts of resources and soon the FSG found this region to be quite popular, especially considering its quite large supplies of Tylium. After a few years the region began to prosper and for a while was the largest colony in the far north. This period was known as the Ghibalb period and was marked by technical innovations, prosperity, and wealth. This however would not last as the years dragged on the region became more forgotten and tossed aside in official matters.
Recent Ecumene history started 9 years ago when the FSG started to neglect the wellbeing of the people in order to better obtain more resources for their empire. The people started peacefully protesting at first but soon protests turned into secret plots of rebellion from the FSG, but when news of this rebellious attitude was found out the FSG decided to make a large and final example of what would happen if they so much as tried. Hundreds to thousands of women, men, and children were rounded up and beat, tortured, and even killed. This action was considered the last straw and the people of the Ecumene united and took up arms against the FSG. It started out quite easy for the Ecumene rebellion as the FSG forces were unprepared, allowing for the easy taking of equipment and cities. All would not last however as the FSG started to amass more forces in the regions and take back the land they had lost. The fighting was fierce and kept on for months as desperate rebels held their ground and did not give a single inch to the enemy without a fight, however eventually the rebel forces were pushed back into the city of Zhrastov, quite a large city in Ghibalb. The FSG decided to take care of the entire rebellion with one move that day and bombed the entire city into ruin without even bothering to evacuate it, hoping to scare the population back into obedience. The day became known as the “Night of Tears” as over 1 million people were killed that day in Zhrastov. For hours on end napalm, toxic gases, and explosives were dropped down into the city to ensure that nobody would leave alive. The action did what it was supposed to do and as all members of the rebellion had been trapped in the city, all talk of independence ceased for quite a while as people were too afraid to even think such thoughts due to what happened to Zhastov. Two years later and the city had still not been touched since The Night of Tears, mistreatment of civilians resumed and worsened as time went on and people once again started to question the rule of the FSG. Arms and vehicles were secretly bought and amassed for a new rebellion. Many people flocked to the new independence movement and weapons were dispersed across all the planets and stations. A protest was planned in the city of Mythrilos, the capital of Ghibalb and one of the most important cities within the region. At 9:47am FSG forces looked in shock as when they were expecting angry civilians they found militia armed with full military equipment advancing toward them, before they could even report the action they were cut down by the rebels, and just 24 minutes later the FSG command in Maethrillian received word that rebellions were popping up on every planet and station within the few controlled systems. Within hours FSG forces landed on the planets and attempted to quell the rebellions, causing a long tiring war that would last 4 whole years. Often times planets would switch hands within months due to the amount of fighting and forces from both sides. The city of Ghibalb itself was devastated by the war but continued to pump out new equipment for the Ecumene Rebellion as it had been named. No prisoners were ever taken as it was seen as a sign of hospitality to the enemy, resulting in massacres of soldiers and civilians alike. At multiple points the Ecumene had been reduced to guerrilla fighting for entire weeks while waiting for much needed reinforcements. After 2 cruel years the Ecumene had received word of the atrocities in Osea, which united the rest of the entire population to removing the FSG from their land. The last year of the war from independence was spent clearing out all FSG forces from planets, stations, moons, and out of Ecumene space in general. During the last few months Maethrillian had finally been breached and the Ecumene forces flooded in, surrounding and leaving the FSG leaders and remaining forces no hope for escape. All were taken as “prisoners” and told they would be sent back to the Sol system eventually. The commander of the FSG forces stationed in Ecumene land, Admiral Julius was surprised when he and his forces were all lined up against a wall and broadcasting cameras were set up all around them. It was then he knew, that they would be sent back to Sol not alive, but in body bags. The order to open fire was given and all FSG officials were executed on the spot with it being broadcasted on every screen that the Ecumene had within their systems, sending the message that at last, they had won the war and that the Ecumene people were now independent from the tyranny of the FSG’s reign.
Culture: The Ecumene are a highly militaristic and honor priding people, religion is not as important in their lives as they pride the wonders of science more. Honor and truthfulness are so important that to disobey these can be seen as a crime at certain times depending on what happened. As for ancestry most Ecumenes can trace their origins from Finland, the Baltics, Western Russia, Belarus, and Northern Ukraine. The Ecumene architecture is entirely modern with no designs being taken from any older earth civilizations.
Military: The Ecumene Military is broken into three different branches, the army, the Prometheans(the special forces), and the navy.
Army: 30,000 soldiers 500 “Leo” model mobile combat suits 400 main battle tanks 200 Light Reconnaissance Vehicles 150 Armored Personal Carriers 200 Self Propelled Guns 200 Cargo trucks 250 transport halftracks

Nation Name: Free Stellar Imperium Government: Elective Monarchy After witnessing the the weaknesses inherent within democracy, the People who broke away from the FSG have decided unanimously to have a king with absolute power. Capital: Hyadum, Hypure, Gracemeria Inhabited Solar Systems: Hyadum: A system dominated by a Red Ain Sequence Star. A research station inhabiting 60,000 rests in a polar orbit around the star and served as an early warning and relay station back during the revolution against the FSG Aquari: A system with a yellow star at its center, 3 Oceanic worlds orbit the star in the habitable zone though they have not been colonized as studies are ongoing about the atmosphere composition and wether it's safe for humans to live on the surface without habitation domes. 2 Gas Giants dominate the outer rim followed by a binary dwarf planet system at the edge of the Sun's Sphere of Influence. A Tylium mining station is in orbit within the rings of one of the gas giants, affording it some natural defenses Centarialist: A white dwarf star at its center, the Centarialist system has multiple rings of asteroid belts orbiting the star, with a single barren planet rest in between the two largest asteroid belts. A mining outpost rests on planets surface with functions as a listening post. Inhabited Planetoids: Hyadum System: Hypure - The capital of the Stellar Admiralty, Hypure is an Earth sized planet with the same characteristics as the human homeworld, making it desirable as a population center as it fits humans needs extremely well. After the war he was appointed the new Grand Admiral of the Field Marshal Fredrick Jan Sobieski: Sobieski was a civilian on the planet of Hypure before the war, joining with Halsey and his invasion force after they captured the planet, he led a division of troops on Yalterrian, using them in unconventional warfare to keep the FSG on their toes. Population: Hyadum System: 7.3 billion Hypure: 4.3 billion Yalterrian: 3 billion Diltak System: Odyssey: 1.2 billion Description/History: The Free Stellar Imperium has existed for a mere two years. Military: 5 Earth Type Medium Warships 15 Earth Type Light Warships 150 Earth Type Fighters 3 Earth Type Troop Transports 2 Earth Type Cargo Ships 35,000 troops 130 Earth Type MBT's 192 Earth Type Field Guns 240 Earth Type Howitzers 160 Earth Type APC's 65 Earth Type Bombers 2 Earth Type Fuel Carriers Non-Military: 30 Cargo Vessels 12 Mining Vessels 6 Civilian Research Vessels Location on Map: South South West of Sol, at the far end of known space Everything here is good, and you can go ahead and post your turns, but can you please modify your nation's history about the FSG rule over these planets? Because the corruption, inefficiency, and the exploiting of the planets, but the executions, caste system, and the British treatment of India-esque governance is a little too far, and I would recommend replacing that with more of the former.

Nation Name: The Vadian Empire Government: Absolute Monarchy Capital: Centurion, Vadia, High Plutonia Inhabited Solar Systems: Vadia, Eriadu Uninhabited Solar Systems: Hyperion, Ursalis, Verdikus Inhabited Planetoids: Vadia: Vadia, Orlan, Kalexius Vadia is a planet with an earth-like climate and geography. Important People: Emperor Vadius I Head of Imperial Intelligence Mara Pera: Pera is the one who revealed the Federation’s deception to Vadius, and she fled to Vadia to avoid this being found out by the FSG. Once she arrived, her old friend offered her use for her skills, and she became director of the Imperial Information Agency Grand Admiral Thraxes Gellion: Thraxes was a close friend of Vadius and when news of the FSG’s betrayal of Vadius was announced, he realized how far the FSG had fallen and defected. Population: 9.5 billion Description/History: Rear Admiral Decius Vadius of the Federation’s Galactic Navy was an interesting character. A bit eccentric at times, but he was respected and loved by those he commanded and the people back home, who were drawn in by his many victories in the name of the Federation. One day, shortly after the rebellions began, his fleet was dispatched to escort colony ships to a habitable system that had been discovered and deal with a token pirate resistence. What they found was not a token force, but the headquarters of a large pirate coalition, and one that had been alerted beforehand to the fleet’s coming. A fierce battle ensued and, despite being outnumbered, Decius’ fleet destroyed the pirates, albeit with heavy casualties taken. The pirates that escaped summoned more of their kind who had been away from the system during the initial attack, and launched several follow up attacks, harassing the battered fleet. A distress signal was sent to Earth, but it took an unusually long amount of time to make it to central command. When word reached Earth, rumors began to fly as to the reason for the attack. After two weeks with no ships from Earth coming to bring fuel or aid to the beleaguered fleet, Decius received a message from a friend of his within Federation intelligence. She told him that a group of officials high within the Federation’s military had set Decius up. Decius had indeed harbored some private rebel sympathies. He saw it as the colonies’ right to seceede from the Federation, and once word of this got to central command, he was deemed unfit to command. However the federation couldnt just relieve Decisu on those grounds. Popular support for the rebels was high, and if he, a national hero, lost his job, not only could his fleet mutiny, it’d lead to more support for the rebellion, so the ambush was prepared. This shocked Decius, and, once he told them, his officers, too. So, with the full support of his staff, Decius’ remaining fleet mutinied. They escorted the colony ships planetside, where the pirates on the planet agreed to submit to him. Then, Decius declared himself Emperor Vadius I of the Vadian Empire, and the planets that he had been sent to colonize soverign Vadian territory. Once word of the cessation reached Earth, the conspirators immediately turned on each other as to what to do next. Many of them saw Vadius’ leaving of the Federation as a neutralization, and were content with how things turned out. Those with their own personal goals were not satisfied. Things escalated quickly and soon turned brutual. The conspirators were talking about their new enemies’ part in the plot to the press and the courts, and briberies and assassinations ran rampant. You can start posting, but make it that rather than going against some pirates, make it a rebel fleet, and we are all good to go.

Members of the council are elected by the people for a life long position, with the three heads of the council being appointed by council members to serve for live. Capital: The Savolax system, Maethrillian Inhabited Solar Systems: The Savolax system: The Savolax System was formerly a colony supply/resource manufacturing station so it had been quite heavily industrialized. The three lesser populated systems add up to a mere 120,000 people. Description/History: The Ecumene started off as colonists being sent to resource rich areas in their now controlled systems. The Ecumene itself is 4 years old with independence movements happening for quite some time. But major setbacks happened and they could not fully manage to control any planets even, resorting to guerrilla warfare. When news of the protesters in Osea being killed and injured it spurred the people to take action, causing any support for the government to collapse within weeks. The new united people quickly pushed FSG forces out of their planets and lands, using any equipment they could get their hands on to destroy or take enemy ships and weapons. The war against the FSG was very violent as they did not wish to abandon the masses of resources they could use to their advantage and as such entire cities and populations were killed in the fight for independence. Eventually the Ecumene managed to pull through and finally wipe all FSG soldiers within their systems off the face of the galaxy. Culture: The Ecumene are a highly militaristic and honor priding people, religion is not as important in their lives as they pride the wonders of science more. Honor and truthfulness are so important that to disobey these can be seen as a crime at certain times depending on what happened. As for ancestry most Ecumenes can trace their origins from Finland, the Baltics, North Western Russia and some Danes even. The Ecumene architecture is entirely modern with no designs being taken from any older earth civilizations. Military: The Ecumene Military is broken into three different branches, the army, the Prometheans(the special forces), and the navy. Army: 30,000 soldiers 500 “Leo” model mobile combat suits 400 main battle tanks 200 Light Reconnaissance Vehicles 150 Armored Personal Carriers 200 Self Propelled Guns 200 Cargo trucks 250 transport halftracks Navy: 5 Earth Type Medium Warships 15 Earth Type Light Warships 150 Earth Type Fighters 5 Earth Type Cargo Ships Non military ships: 5 Earth Type Colony Ships 2 Earth Type Tylium Fuel carriers 3 Earth Type Tylium Refining ships 3 Earth Type Tylium mining ships 4 Earth Type Science research vessels The Prometheans: 10,000 warriors 500 "covenant" type combat suits 50 Main battle tanks 100 cargo trucks 100 APCs Location on Map: far north east, at the curve where the finger begins Change a few of those planets to moons and we are all good to go.

Nation Name: The Imperial Sun Clan Government: Constitutional Monarchy Capital: Itsoki System, Jysuku, New Tokyo Inhabited Solar Systems: Itsoki System, Nama System Uninhabited Solar Systems: Pyon system, Hyuko system, Inhabited Planetoids: (List by name what inhabited planetoids (Planets/moons with a population of 100k or higher) your nation governs(It should be around 2-3 per inhabited solar system)) Itsoki System:Jysuku-The capital planet of the Imperial Sun clan is a fertile agricultural planet which has helped to boost the colonies population and supply other nearby colonies that couldn't produce enough for themselves. only five major cities within the planet are industrial while the rest are focused on the production of food, medicine, and other products. The climate on the planet is similar to earth, but spring lasts longer for an extra 2 months. There are five very large continents, each containing an abundance of rivers and lakes across each continent. Boyan- A Iron planet consisting of ridiculous amounts of resources. This planet is heavily industrialized and is still in the process of expansion. This planet has helped to supplied the military industries to build the equipment and ships needed in the past war. Vion- A large moon that is inhabited by only military personals and naval space constructors. There are three shipyards and one large military station. Nama system:
Yuma- A planet consisting of about 8 small-medium size tropical continent islands, this planet is 1.8 times bigger then planet earth and about 79% of the planet is ocean. Originally this planet was suppose to be a tourist/vacation planet, however due to the war it was quickly turned into a war zone and many of the constructions on the planet converted to defenses and bunkers. After the war was over the planet was deemed as a training planet where all new recruits are sent to be trained as regular troops or to go through the rigorous trials of becoming a "Samurai". Ratikan- Another planet very similar to earth but consisting of only three continents. The planet is also 1.3 times bigger then earth. Inhabited Astrological Objects: Yin Station: Named after the famous Admiral Yin in the ancient history of Korea, the station began construction in secrecy during the defensive war. Tho it did not help to participate in the war, it has however become the symbol of strength to the nation. Housing the entire fleet with a large shipyard, and four small academy's that teach different tactics and strategies. The station was also heavily equipped with defensive systems and weapons to ensure that any invasion would have surpass this space station with a heavy cost. About 500,000 are stationed here. Important People: The Emperor: Mikoko Akhita-The youngest son of Emperor Nimbo Akihito. In his early youth Mikoko was noticed to be a genious and was quickly educated into becoming a scientist, he however had wanted to travel amongst the stars and explore other worlds. When he turned 16 he applied at the military space academy in Tokyo. Within the five years he had shown promising results in space battle simulations, which caught the attention of the higher ups. Once he finished graduating he was appointed as an O-2 Lieutenant and assigned to the Mishimo-class Cruiser. His ship was stationed within the Itsoki system and ordered to stay put. Mikoko didn't mind not seeing any action, as being stationed on the planet Jysuku was a beautiful fertile planet that reminded him of ancient Japan. Eventually however war had come to the system and his crewmates were ordered to board the Mishimo and prepare for the defenses. Mikoko at one point during the ships 3rd battle, had taken over command of the ship after the captain had sustained a head trauma from a oncoming barrage. Mikoko quickly used the knowledge of the strength/weaknesses of the enemy ships and managed to destroy 3 enemy destroyers, and cripple 1 enemy cruiser before escaping the battlefield along with two other friendly frigates. Mikoko afterwards was praised as a hero would later gain the rank of Vice Admiral. With this large promotion, Mikoko was assigned a small fleet of cruisers which he gladly took command of. Within the entire war Mikoko had shown again and again that he was to be feared on the battle. He was cunning, intelligent, and most importantly he was observant of every move the enemy made. He also knows how to choose his battles, and when it is time to retreat. Because of his legendary victories and small defeats, he was claimed as the systems savior. It was after the FSG putting their claims off, at that point Mikoko decided to lead the people as their emperor but allowed parliament within the systems to hold more power. Crime Lord: Yusagi myamoto- Yusagi is known to be a old and cranky looking old man. But in reality he is known to be the most dangerous man within the Imperial Sun Clan. Originally he was part of the withering Yakuza gang in Japan, he was arrested for nearly escaping with top secret military blueprints and was nearly sentenced to death. However his sentence was to be sent to the colonies and work in a prison labor force. But before he reached the planet, the war between the colonies had caused the result of the prison ship to be boarded. Many of the inmates managed to free themselves, some died within the fight, and some managed to escape. Yusagi however decided that instead he would take over the ship. He had many allies and followers within the ship. Within several hours Yusagi managed to take over the bridge and had the ship self destruct. He and his gang then managed to take a transport ship and escaped the scene and landed on the planet of Ratikan. Finally freedom was achieved and now he was free to establish his crime network. Throughout the war he had helped gain and sell intelligence to the Imperial Sun Clan. After the war was over, Yusagi was located by the government and arrested within a underground pub. He thought that they were just putting him back to the labor force like he was suppose to and serve his time. Instead however he was offered a job offer to directly work with the military. In return he would be paid handsomely for any intelligence/tech that was deemed important. This of course he gladly accepts, and since then he has been a loyal ally but more difficult to find in person nowadays. Supreme admiral: Ryu Itamaki- Close friend of Mikoko who he had served alongside during the war since the beginning. He was at first a Captain that was noted for his excellent military performances and executing orders by the letter. He had no trouble speaking up when he had something to object or put his own input. His greatest achievement during the war was intercepting an enemy code that revealed a large military invasion convoy that was suppose to reach a military moon station. With this information he and his ship immediately contacted the main fleet and destroyed the enemy convoy along with the escort fleet. He was promoted to commodore and would later be nominated and appointed by Mikoko himself as Supreme admiral. Prime Minister: Tazawa Jotaro- A politician that had served for the systems since the beginning and helped maintain a good relation with the FSG and even to this point. He is a Liberal politician that helped to establish the proper military economic policies during the defensive war. His friendly ties with Mikoko and positive reviews from the people have helped him become the elected prime minister. He is also from the Democratic Sun party. Chief of Staff: Hayato Yamamoto- A military expert who fought on the ground during the defensive war. Yamamoto was a field marshal who had spent 3 years of his life on the planet Yuma in the Nama system. The planet is known to be only consisting of small-medium sized jungle islands and a vast ocean. Yamato had already been stationed on this planet long before the war and thus studied several islands that he believed could be turned into death zones to the enemy. Using guerilla tactics and the old traditional banzai charges. The enemy sustained heavy casualties and weren't able to pinpoint the exact location of Yamamoto's spread out armies. They attempted to just bombard the islands, but every island had at least 3-5 underground bunker that could house at least 500 troops and suppies that could last for a week. Eventually the enemy decided to tall off the invasion of Yuma. This was a major military victory for the colony and thus would help establish a growing patriotism within the army. After the war, Yamamoto was appointed as Chief of Staff and has since then helped organize military defenses on the other planets. Population: 8 billion Description/History: The colony of the Imperial Sun Clan can be dated as far as 115 years ago. The colony had no troubles with the FSG and had been cooperative and friendly with each other. As long as the FSG received there 45% cut of the agricultural and resource, then the colony would have no trouble. However tension was starting to show within the neighboring colonies and soon rebellion started to spring up. The people of the Imperial Sun Clan however had no intention of rebelling as their relations with the FSG was intact and well. However the nearby rebelling colonies saw this as a threat and thus took action. Without warning three colonial systems banned together and invaded the Nama system. The government in Jysuku begged the FSG to send reinforcements, but the FSG was currently fighting multiple rebelling systems and thus couldn't afford to spare any ships or troops, not even materials. Thus began the road of independence for the people of the Imperial Sun Clan. For years the colony had desperately put up a hasty defense against the invaders, but of course many heroes had risen from the war, some that were scene as unlikely heroes but did help to achieve victory in some way. Eventually the invaders were slowly dwindling as casualties began to rise. The major knockouts that pushed the invaders out was at the "Battle Of Yuma" and "The Final Tide". The Battle of Yuma was a 3 year long war that involved the defenders to use guerilla tactics which succeeded and forced the invaders to retreat from the planet. The Final Tide was a the final space battle that pushed the invaders out of the Numa system and bring peace. Many ships were lost on both sides, but the defending colony had won against all odds thanks to Vice Admiral Akhita and Commodore Itamaki. Vice Admiral Akhita was the youngest sun of the Japanese emperor back on planet earth, but he was also established as a war hero thanks to his accomplishments. With these two titles as a noble and hero, he was asked to become the colonies emperor and help to establish a constitutional government. At first he refused, saying that there duty was still towards the FSG and that they still needed to oblige to their duties. But the majority of the populace by now were now locked on into making themselves a independent nation, stating that the FSG had pretty much abandoned them in their time of need and that the FSG was weak. Akhita replied back that he would consider this and thus somehow make this happen. Luckily enough the war between the FSG and rebellious nations had ended with the rebels winning. With this opportunity, Akhita and the newly appointed Prime Minister Jotaro had proceeded to establish their independence which the FSG had no power to say no. With that the Imperial Sun Clan was born. Culture: The majority of the population consist of 48% Japanese, 28% Korean, 15% Indian, and 9% are Chinese. The nation is also heavily religious on Confucius, Buddhism, and Hinduism which has helped shape society. The people of the Imperial Sun clan also treasure and follow the old and new teachings of philosophy, one of the major teachings that nearly everyone knows is Admiral Yi's which goes as follows: "The three roads are knowledge of the world; understanding of things as they are; and wisdom toward humanity. " "The four obligations are to provide national security with minimal cost; to lead others unselfishly; to suffer adversity without fear; to offer solutions without laying blame. " "The five skills are to be flexible without weakness; to be strong without arrogance; to be kind without vulnerability; to be trusting without naiveté; and to have invincible courage. " "The ten keys to security are purity of purpose, sound strategy, integrity, clarity, lack of covetousness, lack of addiction, a reserved tongue, assertiveness without aggression, being firm and fair, and patience.” -Admiral Yi This goes to show that the people and those that govern within the Imperial Sun clan are a honorable, selfless, and polite group of people that are willing to cooperate and assist others. But those that dare to take away the peace will receive nothing but the Imperial sword. Military:

The only ships nations start with are the Exeter (Medium) and Porter (Light) class warships. You can change the name, but they can only be those two. The only exception is the 'SN' vessels fielded by Pman, which are converted deep space exploration vessels which are notably weaker than Exeters and Porters, you are free to create your own unique vessels after we start, but you must use the Exeters/Porters or use converted vessels which will be certainly weaker than the Exeters and Porters(Same limits though) I will let you pass on the fighters and bombers because they are small enough that it is plausible they where designed and built during the war/three years of peacetime. Because I took such a long time to get to this, I will allow you to take till Saturday to post your turn, note that this week and you alone are the only exception to this rule, you cannot repeat this privilege next week and no one else may take this extension. (Since this is turn 2 it is 2415, and three years since the end of the War of Orion Independence) Thank you.

The Protectorate
Government: Representative Cyberdemocracy The Protectorate's central government runs mostly on a Westminster system, collectively called the Assembly. The lower house of The Assembly is the Popular Assembly, and the upper house is the Senate, both elected per-district across all inhabited Protectorate locations through first-past-the-post voting. Just like any Westminster system, the Prime Minister is elected by the Popular Assembly, and heads the executive branch. The Popular Assembly also must approve of any appointment of Ministers to the Administrative Council and the Defense Commission. Any Ministers of the aforementioned commissions may also be dismissed by a resolution of no confidence passed by the Popular Assembly.
The executive branch of the Protectorate is divided into the Administrative Council and the Defense Commission. The Administrative Council handles almost all civil and internal matters of the government, while the Defense Commission controls all administration regarding the Protectorate Self-Defense Force and Protectorate Military Intelligence. There are some overlaps in the coverage of the two organizations, particularly regarding security, production, and research, and while on paper they are separate organizations, practicality meant that the two are seldom seen operating independently.
The Protectorate Judiciary is divided between the Court System and the Public Procuratorate. The latter serving as an investigator and prosecutor in felonies and complex cases, and acting as an Ombudsman for the public to direct complaints of maladministration. For less serious cases, common law adversarial system is generally used.
One unique feature of the Protectorate's government is its extensive use of cyberdemocracy. It is considered a norm for the Members of the Assembly to contact the people they are representing through E-democracy platforms. In addition, snap elections may be called by the electorate itself through a referendum, in addition to the Popular Assembly. While the effects of popular referendums on laws and Acts of the Assembly are not legally binding, acting contrary to them is a very good way of getting oneself quickly removed through snap election.
Capital: Mizuho (nominal), Aichi (GSC-4) (actual)
Inhabited Systems:
Kii System: A subgiant orbited by several rocky worlds, with one terrestrial planet. Kii has a significant asteroid belt and two gas giants, forming a raw resource basis for the industry of the system. The main star itself exhibits peculiar chemical composition, containing numerous strange metals.
Wakayama (Planet): A planet of largely tropical savannas and one of the first agricultural centers outside of the city ships. Unlike Mizuho, local fauna and flora is widespread but judged to be unsuitable for cultivation, and a massive clearing campaign took place to especially secure grazing grounds for cattle. Wakayama's annual agricultural production already exceeds that of all four city ships in the system combined.
Arida (GSC-0) (General Systems Complex): The local administrative capital of Kii. Heavily urbanized with a population of close to two million and the center of all life in the Kii System. While not heavily industrialized as the say Shimuro or Kasugai, Arida's light industry is quite formidable, supplying nearly all of the Protectorate's supply.
Hidaka (GSC-1) (General Systems Complex): Hidaka's low population and damaged infrastructure has reduced her to a second-rate agricultural ship. Once with a population of over 1.5 million and holding a third large shipyard, the Battle for Hidaka during the Raid in BM-3223 has severely damaged the infrastructure and reduced the population to little more than half a million. Most of the damage were inflicted by the residents themselves, who even now is well known for their fanatic loyalty to the Assembly.
Ito (GSC-2) (General Systems Complex): The primary shipyard in Kii. Ito's shipyards are owned by Toha Heavy Industries, and forms the biggest shipbuilding conglomerate in the area. After years of modification, most of Ito's volume is dedicated to the various dockyards and slipways of Toha Shipbuilding.
Shimuro (GSC-3) (General Systems Complex): Shimuro is yet another industrial ship under the finances of Toha Heavy Industries. Shimuro, however, produces mostly consumer goods and only has a small shipyard.
Owarii System: A young white dwarf with most of its inner planets blown away by stellar winds from the red giant stage. Owarii plays home to four large gas giants, and the largest of the jovians, Nagoya, plays home to one large moon similar in size and environment to Earth.
Mizuho, Nagoya (Gas Giant Moon): Mizuho is the massive moon of Nagoya, and has an Earth-like atmosphere and hydrosphere. Mizhuo has considerably more land compared to Earth and receives very little sunlight, and as a result, native lifeforms here generally are no more complicated than algae. The introduction of terragen creatures into the biosphere has turned most of the planet into a sort of semi-frozen tundra, heated by tidal actions of Nagoya. Population of this planet is around 5 million, mostly as a ceremonial de jure capital populated by some of the younger population looking for adventure and the pioneer spirit.
Aichi (GSC-4) (General Systems Complex): The overcrowded flagship of the Protectorate exodus fleet and the heart of the Administration. The Aichi is the de facto heart of the Protectorate. With its numerous habitat plates filled with factories and hydroponics worked by its 1.5 million inhabitants. Located at the top dome is the Protectorate Legislative Assembly, where both houses meet to discuss the matters that affect the entire population.
Shitara (GSC-5) (General Systems Complex): A mostly agrarian ship with a population of 1 million. The (somewhat) lower population density of this ship allows it the luxury of raising food animals in factory farms and dedicating room to hydroponic gardens of large fruit trees.
Kasugai (GSC-7) (General Systems Complex): The industrial powerhouse of the Owarii System. Her 1.3 million people work the numerous dockyards built into the ship and acts the primary naval base of the system. It is the home of Kisaragi Shipbuilding Limited, the largest shipbuilding corporation in Tau Ceti before the crackdown, with most of their staff intact.
Niwa (GSC-8) (General Systems Complex): Niwa is yet another industrial powerhouse of the Protectorate, however, as the headquarters of Arisawa Heavy Industries, Niwa's manufactorums churn out aerospace fighters and various land and aircraft. Arisawa's shipbuilding branch, however, is considerably smaller.
Uninhabited Systems:
Izumo System: A Throne-Zytkow star, consisting of a red supergiant that absorbed a neutron star. The massive gravitational disturbances in the system resulted in highly eliptical orbits of all of the existing bodies, most of which are icy or rocky in nature.
Kaga System: A rapidly spinning Wolf-Raynet star that has generated a considerable planetary nebula. The system is unique that it has few rocky bodies but a binary pair of super-jupiters heated by the star's immense luminosity.
Tosa System: A red dwarf with a still forming protoplanetary disk of dust and gas, with mostly small rocky bodies suspended in primordial hydrogen.
Location: Far corewards leading from Sol.
Population: 20 million
History:
The story of the Protectorate began on Tau Ceti. As one of the larger industrial centers outside of Sol, Tau Ceti became one of the wealthiest systems outside of Sol. A massive circum-planetary ring held up by orbital elevators is home to the largest shipyards outside of Sol, where all ten of the Federation's General System Complexes were laid down.
Tau Ceti's considerable wealth and relative independence caused a good amount of the colony's population to propose a referendum for independence, a referendum that is almost certain to pass. The Referendum never happenened. A week before the scheduled date, the Federation Army made landfall on the capital city of Kyochu. While the Federation reports claimed that they were greeted by angry mobs and opened fire in self-defense, and that in the ensuring chaos some of the rioters burned down several city blocks, the Tau Ceti news cameras reported that the fighting seemed to have began by a group of overzealous soldiers firing into the crowds.
The unrest was over within a day and the Army took control. The current administration of Tau Ceti and the oligarchs of the local corporations are replaced by much more pro-Federation politicians, and tithes were ramped up to the point where the splendor of the kind . Being one of the earliest colonies to attempt to declare independence and so close to Sol it self, it became clear that they cannot hope to drive the occupation off of their own soil.
However, they did plan as they endured their days under the jackboot. Looking for a weakness, a way out. It would only make sense for the city ships to be targeted, plans are hatched in the dark for seizing the vessels and docked naval assets, before fleeing into the deep dark unknown. As the years of feigned docility dragged into decades, the cost of deploying active warships and troops in Tau Ceti became too much for a low-security system that to the Terrans seem to have its will broken. More and more warships languished in the docks, easy targets for the coming storm.
As the first five city ships were due to ship out, the rebels made their move. Massive, coordinated acts of sabotage and guerrilla warfare erupted across the orbital docks and the Tau Ceti workers seized control of all eight completed city ships and any naval assets they have gotten their hands on. The rag-tag fleet of stolen city ships combined with merchants and warships, branding themselves as "The Protectorate," then jumped off towards the frotiers, seeking to outrun the Federation's pursuers. Several bloody years of skirmishing against the Federation Navy has all but destroyed their naval capacity, and the tolls and uncertainties of long-distance travel, has caused the population to dwindle to only 20 million, and even that overcrowded the city ships to their limits.
And they would have continued sailing into the Galactic Core if not for a probe of the Free Stellar Imperium that contacted them, bringing them the news of the Centuari accords. At first the FSI's claims were dismissed as lies and the fleet continued to move on. It took two months of persuation by the FSI diplomats to convince the Protectorate's High Assembly that the FSG has effectively collapsed and that their exodus is no longer necessary.
Culture:
Tau Ceti was heavily settled by ethnically Japanese settlers in the early stages of colonization, with the input of Japanese replaced steadily by Commonwealth and small amounts Middle-Eastern technical personnel as they sought better pastures off-world from Earth. The resulting intermix of cultures resulted in a heavily honor-bound society, blending the code of conduct of English nobility and the Confucian mores of classical Japan.
The necessities of years of exodus has changed the former rather liberal capitalistic culture of the Protectorate considerably. The cyberdemocratic system, however, has not changed, and democracy remains one of the key values of the Protectorate even through the arduous journey and the direst of battles. To give up the idea that every citizen has a vote and a voice to the Protectorate citizen is like being placed back under the Federation's oppressive regime, and even mentioning dissolving or suspending the Assembly is considered to be near heretical.
The modern-day Protectorate could be best described as warrior-scholars. With so few people and yet so much hardware to run and protect, both military training and an education in science and crafts are seen as near-compulsory, and almost every citizen taking at least one if not both paths. It is often joked that a child born on one of the city ships will learn how to field-strip an assault rifle before he even knows how to walk, and master blacksmithing before he can speak. That, however, is not too far from the truth. The citizens have developed a great deal of attachment towards the General Systems Complexes that bore them from their ancestral home, and in many cases chose to remain aboard even with the establishment of planetary colonies.
This near cult-like worship of their city ships, combined with the Protectorate notion of honor and the memories of oppression under the Federation has lead to unrivaled fanaticism when it comes to defending their vessels. Perhaps best illustrated in the pirate raid at BM-3223, where Protectorate citizenry of the Hidaka resorted to suicide bombings and banzai charges in the face of machinegun fire to repel the pirate boarders.
While militarized and near suicidally fanatic in their vendetta, the Protectorate never flaunts itself, always presenting a stoic, resilient outlook of a people who will never again swallow the disgrace that lead to their exodus. Indeed, one of the unspoken axioms of the Protectorate seems to be a varying amount of bad blood towards the Federation. Some observers have pointed out that the core of Protectorate culture is twisted, that in essence, it is a congregation of vengeful spirits, going through the motions of a civilization long gone, existing solely that they may exact their revenge in the future.
While the exodus has heavily disrupted scientific research since they have left Tau Ceti. However, with the resestablishment of colonies in Kii and Owari, the Protectorate has returned to Tau Ceti's work on robotics and bionics. Science is seen as a tool for them to reclaim the greatness they had lost, and perhaps, even a weapon to be used against the Federation, when the time is right. Even more radical is the Kurogane-Kai, the Cult of Black Steel. Formed mostly of the descendants and family members of the deceased during the uprising, they see bionic augmentation as the single, best method of finally avenging their lost honor and bring ruin to the Federation.
Important People:
Marion Shima (Chancellor): The head of the Justice Party, elected into her position by a landslide vote of the Protectorate Diet after several years of ineffectual government by the Liberal-Democratic Front, Shima's decisive economic reforms prevented the exodus fleet from splintering and mutiny seven years after they left their previous mining stop. Born as the youngest among five children on one of the warships and raised as a sailor since youth, Shima acts with nerves of steel after thorough deliberation, an attitude that has earned her the political center-stage during his campaigns.
Kaouru Irako (Head of Opposition): The new head of the Liberal-Democratic front after the massive in-vote of new blood serves almost as a foil to Shima. While Shima is a political battering ram of decisive action and reforms, Irako is the exemplary well-learned conservative politician, a product of his upbringing as the only son of a scientist. More than once it is his party's votes that prevented the Justice Party from overextending their reforms into economically troubled waters.
High Admiral Michael Misaki (Navy Chief of Staff): "Mad Mike" Misaki was a veteran freight captain on Tau Ceti and commanded the first squadron of the Protectorate Navy ships at the start of the exodus. Under his command, the small Protectorate Navy performed lightning raids against the pursuing Federation fleets, often destroying numerous Federation naval assets while they are in their staging gronuds. While he wished to retire as a front-line flag officer, his skills are considered too valuable to lose, and thus he is transferred to the Protectorate Chief of Staff.
High Marshal Aisha Marikouji (Marine Corps Chief of Staff): Marikouji was perhaps mostly well-remembered as the commander of the resistance forces on Hidaka during the battle. As a graduate of the Sandhurst Military Academy on Terra, Marikouji is one of the few Terran-trained commanders within the Protectorate Self Defense Forces and have also served as the headmaster of the Aichi Military Academy. She is also much well-known for a friendly rivalry with High Admiral Misaki, an extension of the Navy-Marine culture.
General Emma Freeman (Head of Military Intelligence): A rather young face who quickly rose through the ranks of the Marines Corps. She is widely considered a prodigy for heading the team that broke both Federation and Pirate security systems during the exodus. She is rather brash and abrasive when within her own field of expertise. And more often than not, she is right.
Military:
The Protectorate Self Defense Force has a very simple organization, born out of the neccessity of resisting pirate raids and FSG naval harrassment, divided between a navy and a marine corps. The Protectorate Navy forms the naval warfare branch, and is in charge of providing space superiority for habitats and civilian vessels. The Protectorate Marines provide boots on the ground, being a fully expedition-capable force used in boarding actions and planetary/station assaults as required. Attrition has taken a heavy toll on the Protectorate's heavy equipment, as only a handful of ships and troops can be armed as of present day.
Protectorate Navy:
The Protectorate Navy uses a rather unique ship classification system, separating ships into two overall classes. Fast Sentinels refer to escorts, and modules refer to support ships or warships cruiser-sized and up. Size is denoted by "Limited," "Intermediate," or "General" as modifiers, and the prefix "Rapid" is applied to Modules and "Very Fast" is applied to Sentinels when describing ships built for long-range speed.

Protectorate Marines:
Although the Protectorate is heavily dedicated to the research of bionics and robotics, they do not trust them sufficiently as an independent combat-capable force, but are forced to use them nevertheless to bolster numbers. A large number of the Protectorate's ground forces remain infantry, albiet in modern multipurpose combat jackets. The Protectorate has never considered itself seriously for planetary warfare, preferring surgical strikes against astronomical bodies and stations, and thus has a very small supply chain of mostly conscripted civilian trucks and dropships.
4000 Ronin (Heavy Infantry) 26000 Konoe (Light Infantry) 30000 Ayakashi (Battle Droids)
130 Yosozume Heavy Dropship 150 Hotaru Light Dropship 240 Karasu Gunship
425 Oni Main Battle Tanks 850 Kobito Infantry Fighting Vehicles (Doubles as SPAA) 225 Kishin Self-Propelled Artillery (Gun/MRLS combination)
While not considered military, almost every citizen of the protectorate must go through conscription, either as a reservist or in an alternative service as an engineer, medic, or craftsman. In all cases they are required to pass at least a reduced version of basic infantry training, and every citizen older than 12 is issued at least a service pistol and if lucky, a vacuum suit for fighting in the worst-case scenario of a vented city-ship.
Protectorate Merchant Marine:
The Protectorate Merchant Marine is formed by a collection of stolen freighters from Tau Ceti shipyards, mostly used to transport material to the construction of the city-ships, and supplemented by many merchants and miners of the system who joined the uprising. Years of harassment and predation from both the Federation Navy and the Pirates has similarly affected the number of merchant ships available.
